Spectroscopic, solvent influence and thermal studies of ternary copper(II) complexes of diester and dinitrogen base ligands

TL;DR: New mixed-ligand copper(II) complexes containing the bidentate dinitrogen ligands and perchlorate complexes indicates strong solvatochromism of their solutions in polar and non-polar solvents.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mg2+-induced conformational changes in the btuB riboswitch from E. coli

TL;DR: The lack of a AdoCbl-induced conformational switch experienced by the btuB riboswitch in the absence of Mg(2+) indicates a crucial role played by Mg (2+) for defining an active conformation of the ribos witch.
Journal ArticleDOI

Preparation of coating films doped with gold metal particles from methyltriethoxysilane-tetraethoxysilane solutions

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of heat treatment temeprature on the shape, size, and size distribution of the metallic gold particles was also studied, and changes in size and shape of the gold particles with the acid-catalyzed methyltriethoxysilane (MTES) content were observed, while higher MTES contents produced smaller and more spherical particles with a more uniform size distribution.
Journal ArticleDOI

Regioselective cleavage of myoglobin with copper(II) compounds at neutral pH.

TL;DR: The data presented in this study show that Cu(II)-mediated cleavage of myoglobin is able to proceed at neutral pH, more selectively than Pd(II), and buffer solution of phosphate and NH4HCO3 accelerates the cleavage reaction.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structures of aluminum chloride grafted on silica surface

TL;DR: In this paper, the structures of silica-grafted aluminum chloride catalysts were investigated by solid-state NMR measurements, together with their catalytic properties in the alkylation of benzene with cyclohexene.
