Grain boundary structures in f.c.c. and b.c.c. metals and sites for segregated impurities

TL;DR: In this article, the key features leading to low-energy grain boundaries in metals are discussed by reference to computer-simulated structures and geometrical analysis in terms of atom packing.
Journal ArticleDOI

Time-resolved photoluminescence for diagnosis of resistance to ArF excimer laser damage to CaF 2 single crystals

TL;DR: In this article, the time-resolved photoluminescence (PL) on excitation with an ArF excimer laser and IR-vacuum UV optical absorption induced by irradiation of commercially available CaF2 single crystals fabricated by four different manufacturers were measured.
Journal ArticleDOI

Novel transition metal complexes of 4-hydroxy-coumarin-3-thiocarbohydrazone: pharmacodynamic of Co(III) on rats and antimicrobial activity.

TL;DR: The HL ligand showed significant good effects in both high and low doses on the biochemical analysis in serum and heart tissue, and the complexes are stable up to 300°C, and release the uncoordinated and/or coordinated H(2)O/solvent molecules, which is accompanied by a color change.
Journal ArticleDOI

Novel Asymmetric Tetradentate Schiff Base Ligands Derived from 6-Metwia-Formyl4-Hydroxy-2-(1H)-Quinolone and Their Metal Complexes

TL;DR: In this article, the half-unit Schiff base ligand 3-[o-aminophenyliminomethyl]-4-hydroxy-6-methyl-2-(1H)-quinolone with acetylacetone and salicylaldehyde was synthesized by condensation of the half unit Schiff base and the structures of the ligands and the complexes were elucidated by chemical analyses, IR, UV-visible, mass spectra and magnetic moment measurements.
Journal ArticleDOI

Recycling of waste lead storage battery by vacuum methods.

TL;DR: The experimental results showed that all the valuable materials in waste lead storage battery could be satisfactorily recycled by vacuum technologies and offer improvements in metallurgical and environmental performance.
