TLDR
In this article, the authors proposed a method to predict the distribution of residence-times in large systems by using distribution-functions for residencetimes, which can be used to calculate the etficiencies of reactors and blenders.About:

Modelling of sorption enhanced chemical looping steam reforming (SE-CLSR) of methane in a packed bed reactor
TL;DR: In this article, the authors developed a mathematical model of the SE-CLSR process under adiabatic conditions, which is the combination of reduction of catalyst followed by oxidation of the reduced catalyst.

Mixing models with varying stage size
TL;DR: Two progression models for flow systems with varying degree and mode of mixing along the direction of flow are proposed in this paper, and the use of progression models is illustrated with a second order isothermal reaction.

Residence time distribution analysis of magnetic nanoparticle-enhanced mixing using time-dependent magnetic actuation in microfluidic system
TL;DR: In this paper, the dynamics of an innovative time-dependent magnetic nanoparticle (MNP)-based mixing strategy is demonstrated using a multiphysics finite element model using Residence Time Distribution (RTD) analysis, for the first time, is successfully applied to predict the performance as well as investigate and optimize a wide range of design parameters used in the magnetically actuated mixing process.

Analysis of the Existence of Equilibrium Profiles in Nonisothermal Axial Dispersion Tubular Reactors
TL;DR: It is shown that one or three equilibria can be exhibited, depending on the parameters of the system, especially on the diffusion coefficient, in the nonisothermal axial dispersion tubular reactor.

Analysis of breakthrough curves: effect of mobile and immobile pore volumes
RS Pandey,SK Gupta +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, a new technique of evaluating readily displaceable liquid has been outlined and the use of this technique has been illustrated for several breakthrough curves, highlighting the deviations in earlier estimates of pore volumes which are either positive or negative.

The Definition and Measurement of Some Characteristics of Mixtures
TL;DR: In this paper, it is shown that the important features of such mixtures can be expressed by two statistically defined quantities, the scale and the intensity of segregation, and methods of measuring these are suggested.
