Controlling of systemic absorption of gliclazide through incorporation into alginate beads.

TLDR
The results clearly demonstrated the ability of the system to maintain tight blood glucose level and improved the patient compliance by enhancing, controlling and prolonging the systemic absorption of gliclazide.

TL;DR: The in vivo studies on alloxan-induced diabetic rats demonstrated the significant hypoglycemic effect of selected formulation of TSP-alginate mucoadhesive microspheres containing gliclazide on oral administration, which may be very much useful for prolonged systemic absorption of glic lazide for proper maintaining blood glucose level and advanced patient compliance.
