TLDR
A large-size and full-color three-dimensional display system without the need for special eyeglasses that can display the fully continuous, natural 3D scene with more than 1 m image depth in real time is demonstrated.
Abstract
A large-size and full-color three-dimensional (3D) display system without the need for special eyeglasses is demonstrated. With a specially fabricated holographic functional screen with a size of 1.8×1.3 m2, the system including optimally designed camera-projector arrays and a video server can display the fully continuous, natural 3D scene with more than 1 m image depth in real time. We explain the operating principle and present experimental results.

Repeated vergence adaptation causes the decline of visual functions in watching stereoscopic television

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used a visual function simulator to evaluate visual fatigue when viewing stereoscopic TV, and found that discontinuous changes in parallax is a major factor that contributes to visual fatigue in the viewing of stereo images.

Computer-generated holograms of three-dimensional objects synthesized from their multiple angular viewpoints

TL;DR: A new algorithm for computing CGHs of 3D objects that is equivalent to the complex amplitude of a wave front on the rear focal plane of a spherical lens when the object is located near the front focal point and illuminated by a plane wave is proposed and demonstrated.
