TLDR
To detect short circuit and insulation faults arising during construction and to confirm the effectiveness of the shielding as it is installed, the probe test should be carried out at frequent intervals during the construction.
Abstract
This chapter discusses a current comparator. The design of the various components of a comparator may be affected by these factors. To detect short circuit and insulation faults arising during construction and to confirm the effectiveness of the shielding as it is installed, the probe test should be carried out at frequent intervals during the construction.

PET Studies of Net Blood—Brain Clearance of FDOPA to Human Brain: Age-Dependent Decline of [18F]Fluorodopamine Storage Capacity:

TL;DR: In this paper, the brain concentrations of the plasma metabolite 3-O-methyl-FDOPA (OMFD) during 120 min of FDOPA circulation in healthy young, healthy elderly, and Parkinson's disease subjects were subtracted frame-by-frame from the dynamic PET recordings, and maps of the FDOPA net influx to brain were calculated assuming irreversible trapping (Kapp).

Vibrational performance of pedestrian bridges due to human-induced loads.

TL;DR: In this paper, the vibrational performance of footbridges due to human-induced loads has been investigated, based on modal and pedestrian tests carried out on three prototype footbridge structures.

Individual and interactive effects of elevated carbon dioxide and ozone on tropical wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) cultivars with special emphasis on ROS generation and activation of antioxidant defence system.

TL;DR: Under elevated CO2 + O3, elevated levels of CO2 modified the plant performance against O3 in both the cultivars and cultivar HUW-37 was more sensitive to elevated O3 than K-9107.

Thermodynamic study of a LiBr–H2O absorption process for solar heat storage with crystallisation of the solution

TL;DR: In this paper, a heat storage process by absorption is studied for domestic solar thermal collectors, and a prototype has been built and tested in conditions compatible with domestic photovoltaic thermal collectors.

Dopamine storage capacity in caudate and putamen of patients with early Parkinson's disease: correlation with asymmetry of motor symptoms

TL;DR: The estimates of kloss and EDV2 were more sensitive for the discrimination of biochemical abnormality in the putamen of patients with early PD relative to healthy aged subjects, than was the conventional net influx estimate.

CASE tools as organizational change: investigating incremental and radical changes in systems development

TL;DR: The framework and findings suggest that in order to account for the experiences and outcomes associated with CASE tools, researchers should consider the social context of systems development, the intentions and actions of key players, and the implementation process followed by the organization.

GATE V6: a major enhancement of the GATE simulation platform enabling modelling of CT and radiotherapy

TL;DR: An overview of the main additions and improvements implemented in GATE since the publication of the initial GATE paper is presented, which includes new models available to simulate optical and hadronic processes, novelties in modelling tracer, organ or detector motion, new options for speeding up GATE simulations, and preliminary results regarding the validation of GATE V6 for radiation therapy applications.

A salt-rejecting floating solar still for low-cost desalination

TL;DR: In this article, a salt-rejecting evaporation structure that can operate continuously under sunlight to generate clean vapor while floating in a saline body of water such as an ocean is presented.

Aquatic selenium pollution is a global environmental safety issue.

TL;DR: Failure to include selenium in the list of constituents measured in contaminant screening/monitoring programs is a major mistake, both from the hazard assessment aspect and from the pollution control aspect.
