Probing the weak boson sector in e + e - →W + W -

TL;DR: In this paper, a detailed analysis of W pair production in e+e− annihilation at LEP-II energies is presented by using helicity amplitudes for the process e−e−→W+W− with arbitrary WWγ and WWZ couplings.

Muon anomalous magnetic moment: A harbinger for ''new physics''

TL;DR: In this article, the status and implications of the recently reported 2.6 sigma experiment versus theory deviation a{sub {mu}}{sup expt}-a{sub{mu}{sup SM}=426(165) x 10{sup -11} are discussed.

The self-couplings of vector bosons : does LEP-1 obviate LEP-2?

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors analyze the constraints on two generic types of meta-theory, in which fundamental scalar do or do not exist, and illustrate the current strictures by focusing on the allowed range of departures from the most crucial, untested, precise standard prediction: the size and structure of the triple gauge-boson vertices.

Low-energy constraints on electroweak three gauge boson couplings

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors consider one-loop effects induced by the dimension-six operators (D ω Φ) √ gT i W i ων (D ν Φ ) and gG − gYB √ G − g − Φ √ YB ωγ ) and show that such effects at most logarithmically divergent, as required by decoupling, imply modest constraints on the size of new physics signals.

Uses and abuses of effective Lagrangians

TL;DR: It is proved that the inclusion of nonlinearly realized gauge invariance into the low-energy Lagrangian is irrelevant to this conclusion and that many calculations, such as those involving anomalous trilinear gauge-boson couplings, either considerably overestimate loop-induced effects or give ambiguous answers.

Experimental observation of lepton pairs of invariant mass around 95 GeV/c2 at the Cern SPS collider

David B. Cline, +132 more
- 07 Jul 1983 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the signature of a two-body decay of a particle of mass ∼ 95 GeV/c2 was observed, which fit well with the hypothesis that they are produced by the process p + p → Z 0 + X (with Z 0 → l + + + l − ), where Z 0 is the Intermediate Vector Boson postulated by the electroweak theories as the mediator of weak neutral currents.

Static quantities in Weinberg's model of weak and electromagnetic interactions

TL;DR: Within Weinberg's model of weak and electromagnetic interactions, this paper calculated the static quantities of the charged intermediate bosons and proved that the neutrino charge remains zero in second order, and discussed its charge radius.

The muon anomalous magnetic moment in broken supersymmetric theories

R. Barbieri, +1 more
- 11 Nov 1982 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of the corresponding fermionic superpartners, photino, w-ino and z-ino, and that of the massless goldstino were considered.
