Journal ArticleDOI
Formation of benzene trimer radical cation in γ-irradiated low temperature 2-methylpentane matrices
TL;DR: In this article, the transition energy of the charge resonance bands (CR band) of Bz 2 + and Bz 3 + (1.43 and 0.89 eV) was derived.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cyclic π-Conjugated Systems Annelated with Bicyclo[2.2.2]octene: synthesis, Structures, and Properties
TL;DR: In this article, the synthesis and properties of cyclic π-conjugated systems annelated with bicyclic σ-frameworks are discussed. But the authors focus on π systems with a positive charge, which are remarkably stabilized by complete annelation with bicyclo[2.2]octene.
Journal ArticleDOI
Electronic spectra of radical cations and their correlation with photoelectron spectra. III: Perylenes and coronenes
TL;DR: In this article, a correlation diagram for the electronic transitions for some of the molecular ions is presented to demonstrate their movement from one system to another, and an expression showing the relationship between the first ionization potentials of the parent molecules and A -type electronic band energies in the cation spectra is given from which the first IP's of the hydrocarbons may be estimated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cross Conjugated Polyenes Derived from 2-Vinyl-butadiene: Electronic States of their Radical Cations, and Triplet Energy†‡
TL;DR: In this paper, the doublet states of the radical cations of the cross conjugated polyenes 4,4-dimethyl-1-methylidene-2,5-cyclohexadiene 2 and its bis-derivative 1 have been investigated by photoelectron spectroscopy and by electronic spectroscopic of +, prepared at 77 K in an electron scavenging matrix by γ-irradiation.

Getting beyond impurity-limited transport in organic photoconductors
TL;DR: In this article, high, band-like mobilities in conjunction with strongly nonlinear (sub-Ohmic) velocity have been discovered for electron and hole transport in photoconducting organic molecular crystals.
