Estimating the vapor pressures of multi-functional oxygen-containing organic compounds using group contribution methods

TL;DR: In this article, a UNIFAC-based method for estimating the vapor pressure (p L o ) values of oxygen-containing compounds of intermediate-to-low volatility has been developed as an aid in modeling the formation and behavior of organic aerosols.

Assessing the persistence of pharmaceuticals in the aquatic environment: Challenges and needs

TL;DR: In this article, challenges in assessing the persistence of pharmaceuticals were identified, and more importantly research needs were addressed based on the existing data and knowledge, which brings more challenges to the current system for evaluating the persistent of chemical contaminants.

Impact of soil texture on air-water interfacial areas in unsaturated sandy porous media

TL;DR: In this article, the gas phase partitioning tracer method was used to measure air-water interfacial area as a function of water content for eight sandy porous media, and the measured values were compared to the normalized surface areas of the porous media.
