Estrogenic effects of ginsenoside Rg1 in endometrial cells in vitro were not observed in immature CD-1 mice or ovariectomized mice model.

TL;DR: The results suggest that the estrogenic effects of Rg1 are distinct from those of estradiol and are cell type and tissue selective, as well as in heart and brain tissues in vivo.

Effect of Vinca alkaloids on ERα levels and estradiol-induced responses in MCF-7 cells

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that in the breast cancer cell-line MCF-7, E2-induced proliferation before VAs treatment enhances the apoptotical response to VAs which might have important implications in clinica.

Exploring the molecular basis of action of ring D aromatic steroidal antiestrogens.

TL;DR: Using molecular dynamics simulation, the binding mode of the natural salpichrolide A and a synthetic analog with an aromatic D ring within the ERα is modeled and it is found that a preferred inverted orientation of the steroids in the ligand‐binding pocket with the aromatic ring D occupying a position similar to that observed for the A ring of estradiol.

Soyasaponin Bh, a triterpene saponin containing a unique hemiacetal-functional five-membered ring from Glycine max (soybeans).

TL;DR: An oleanane triterpenoid saponin, soyasaponin Bh containing a unique five-membered ring with a hemiacetal functionality together with seven known saponins were isolated from soybeans, showing a weak estrogenic effect in the yeast estrogen screen (YES) assay.
