TLDR
In this article, the steady-state fluorescence anisotropy of the fluorescent probe, pyrene, embedded in the polymer matrix was investigated. And a comparative study using DSC showed that pyrene efficiently followed the thermal relaxations in the polyamide polymer.

1,3,6,8-Tetraethynylpyrene and 1,3,6,8-tetrakis (trimethylsilylethynyl) pyrene: Photophysical properties in homogeneous media

TL;DR: The photophysical properties of two new tetra substituted derivatives of pyrene: 1,3,6,8-tetraethynylpyrene (TEP) and 1, 3, 6, 8-trimethylsilylethynyl (TMS) have been studied with respect to mirror image symmetry in the absorption and emission spectra.

Determination of Intrinsic Material Flammability Properties from Material Tests assisted by Numerical Modelling

TL;DR: In this paper, a technique to obtain intrinsic material properties using test apparatuses, and to predict ignition of the tested materials under any heating scenario, has been proposed, which has successfully demonstrated the ability to predict the driving force (indepth temperature distribution) in the ignition process.

Optimization of the pre-tension and separation distance for measurement of the dynamic elastic modulus and macromolecular orientation of a polypropylene monofilament via the sonic velocity method.

TL;DR: The good agreement observed between the scatter plots of calculated data and the regression lines shows that the multi-point method provides reliable, accurate determination of the sonic modulus (or the dynamic elastic modulus) and the orientation parameters.

A study of the orientations of fluorescent molecules incorporated in uniaxially oriented poly(ethylene terephthalate) tapes

TL;DR: The theory of the polarized fluorescence from fluorescent molecules incorporated in an oriented solid polymer is developed for a very general model of the optical behaviour of the molecules and it is concluded that any observed intensity can be expressed in terms of the components of a fourth rank tensor.
