Abstract
This paper presents the design and implementation of the first in-band full duplex WiFi radios that can simultaneously transmit and receive on the same channel using standard WiFi 802.11ac PHYs and achieves close to the theoretical doubling of throughput in all practical deployment scenarios. Our design uses a single antenna for simultaneous TX/RX (i.e., the same resources as a standard half duplex system). We also propose novel analog and digital cancellation techniques that cancel the self interference to the receiver noise floor, and therefore ensure that there is no degradation to the received signal. We prototype our design by building our own analog circuit boards and integrating them with a fully WiFi-PHY compatible software radio implementation. We show experimentally that our design works robustly in noisy indoor environments, and provides close to the expected theoretical doubling of throughput in practice.

Practical secret key agreement for full-duplex near field communications

TL;DR: A practical, fast, energy-efficient, and secure key agreement scheme for resource-constrained NFC devices by exploiting its off-the-shelf full-duplex capability and randomly introduces synchronization offset and mismatch of amplitude and phase for each bit transmission in order to prevent a passive attacker from determining the generated key.

Design and Implementation of a Neural Network Aided Self-Interference Cancellation Scheme for Full-Duplex Radios

TL;DR: This work presents a hardware architecture for a neural network based non-linear self-interference canceller and compares it with the own hardware implementation of a conventional polynomial based canceller to show that the neural network canceller has a significantly higher throughput and requires fewer hardware resources.

Radio Frequency Angular Momentum Biased Quasi-LTI Nonreciprocal Acoustic Filters

TL;DR: A new analytical model suitable to capture the behavior of any angular-momentum-biased nonreciprocal device is presented, which allows the main characteristics of the transfer function (poles and zeroes) relative to this new class of non reciprocal filters, thus enabling new synthesis capabilities through standard numerical methods.

Multi-dimensional spatial light communication made with on-chip InGaN photonic integration

TL;DR: In this paper, a suspended photonic integration of InGaN multiple-quantum-well light-emitting diode (MQW-LED), waveguide, and photodetector on a single chip is proposed, and the out-of-plane data transmission is realized by detecting the free-space light emission via commercial photodiode module.

Convex Optimization

TL;DR: In this article, the focus is on recognizing convex optimization problems and then finding the most appropriate technique for solving them, and a comprehensive introduction to the subject is given. But the focus of this book is not on the optimization problem itself, but on the problem of finding the appropriate technique to solve it.
