In this article, a supersymmetric field theory model for multiple M2-branes based on an algebra with a totally antisymmetric triple product is proposed. But the field is not dynamical.Abstract:
In previous work we proposed a field theory model for multiple M2-branes based on an algebra with a totally antisymmetric triple product. In this paper we gauge a symmetry that arises from the algebra's triple product. We then construct a supersymmetric theory with no free parameters that is consistent with all the continuous symmetries expected of a multiple M2-brane theory: 16 supersymmetries, conformal invariance, and an SO(8) R-symmetry that acts on the eight transverse scalars. The gauge field is not dynamical. The result is a new type of maximally supersymmetric gauge theory in three dimensions.read more

M-Theory and Maximally Supersymmetric Gauge Theories
TL;DR: In this article, the authors discuss the construction of maximally supersymmetric gauge theories that arise on the world-volume branes in string theory and M-theory, and briefly discuss the six-dimensional conformal field theory that is expected to arise on M5-branes.

A simple class of N=3 gauge/gravity duals
TL;DR: In this article, the gravity duals to an infinite series of N = 3 Chern-Simons quiver theories are found. But their geometry is summarized by a hyperKaehler toric fan that can be read off easily from the relative angles of the branes.

Double handled brane tilings
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors classify the first few brane tilings on a genus 2 Riemann surface and identify their toric Calabi-Yau moduli spaces, which represent one of the largest known classes of 4d superconformal field theories for D3branes.

Superconformal Chern-Simons theories
TL;DR: In this paper, a Lagrangian description of a maximally supersymmetric conformal field theory in three dimensions was constructed recently by Bagger and Lambert (BL), which has SO(4) gauge symmetry and contains scalar and spinor fields that transform as 4-vectors.
