Abstract
In previous work we proposed a field theory model for multiple M2-branes based on an algebra with a totally antisymmetric triple product. In this paper we gauge a symmetry that arises from the algebra's triple product. We then construct a supersymmetric theory with no free parameters that is consistent with all the continuous symmetries expected of a multiple M2-brane theory: 16 supersymmetries, conformal invariance, and an SO(8) R-symmetry that acts on the eight transverse scalars. The gauge field is not dynamical. The result is a new type of maximally supersymmetric gauge theory in three dimensions.

A Note on the reduction of the AdS(4) x CP**3 string sigma model

TL;DR: In this paper, the reduction of the string sigma model on an AdS 4 ifmmode/times/else/texttimes/fi{} background was studied and a brief review of the known results for the AdS part and applied an explicit reduction scheme to the part of the model.

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that there is no way to deform the Nambu-Poisson bracket to match the noncommutative symmetry in 4+1 dimensions to all order, regardless of how the double dimension reduction is implemented.

N=8 Superspace Constraints for Three-dimensional Gauge Theories

TL;DR: In this paper, the general coupling between vector and scalar supermultiplets is encoded in an SO(8) tensor W_{AB} which is a function of the matter fields and subject to a set of algebraic and super-differential relations.

N = 8 Superconformal Chern--Simons Theories

TL;DR: In this paper, the possibilities for constructing Lagrangian descriptions of three-dimensional superconformal classical gauge theories that contain a Chern-Simons term, but no kinetic term, for the gauge fields are explored.
