Brilliant Green Dye Biosorption Using Activated Carbon Derived from Guava Tree Wood
TL;DR: In this article, the removal of brilliant green (BG) dye from an aqueous solution using activated carbon (AC) derived from guava tree wood is conducted in batch conditions, and the influence of different factors such as contact time, pH, adsorbent dosage, initial dye concentration, and temperature on the adsorption of BG onto AC was investigated.

Kinetics and thermodynamics of fluoride removal using cerium-impregnated chitosan
TL;DR: In this article, the kinetics and thermodynamics of fluoride adsorption on cerium-impregnated chitosan (CIC) have been studied by the sets of experiments at various conditions (initial fluoride concentration, adaption time and temperature) using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and energy dispersive spectrum (EDS) techniques.

Sustainable Evaluation of Using Nano Zero-Valent Iron and Activated Carbon for Real Textile Effluent Remediation
TL;DR: In this article, the performance of using two different adsorbents, nano-zero-valent iron (nZVI) and activated carbon (AC), was examined for the treatment of real textile effluents.

Preparation of mesoporous material from hydrotalcite/carbon composite precursor for chromium(VI) removal
TL;DR: In this paper, a composite of MgAl hydrotalcite and carbon was synthesized in the presence of glucose, which was used as the precursor of the corresponding Mg Al mixed oxide (MgAlO C) and was characterized by XRD, FTIR, SEM, BET/BJH and TG/DTA.

Characterization and application of bio-activated carbons prepared by direct activation of hay with the use of microwave radiation
TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of process variables such as the temperature and activation time on textural, chemical-surface properties and sorption properties of the products obtained was studied and it was concluded that the activated bio-carbons from hay are promising adsorbents for NO 2 removal from gas streams as well as different pollutants from liquid phase.
