Cocoa (Theobroma cacao) shell-based activated carbon by CO2 activation in removing of Cationic dye from aqueous solution: Kinetics and equilibrium studies
TL;DR: In this paper, a low-cost precursor for the production of activated carbon (AC) was used as a low cost precursor for production of ACS and evaluated for its ability to adsorb Methylene Blue (MB) dye.

Modeling adsorption kinetics of trichloroethylene onto biochars derived from soybean stover and peanut shell wastes
TL;DR: The pseudo-second order and intraparticle diffusion models were well fitted to the kinetic data, thereby, indicating that chemisorption and pore diffusion were the dominating mechanisms of TCE adsorption onto biochars.

Pore and solid diffusion models for fixed-bed adsorbers
TL;DR: In this article, the prosity factor of the pore model is shown to be very important, especially as the porosity decreases, and the importance of the two diffusional models with respect to the predicted breakthrough curves is demonstrated.
