TLDR
In this paper, the superelastic motion of twin boundaries in the martensitic phase of Ni2MnGa with magnetic fields of 8 kOe applied at 265 K was found to be associated with the staining.Abstract:
Strains of nearly 0.2% have been induced along [001] in unstressed crystals of Ni2MnGa with magnetic fields of 8 kOe applied at 265 K. These stains are associated with the superelastic motion of twin boundaries in the martensitic phase that is stable below about 274 K.read more

First order magneto-structural phase transition and associated multi-functional properties in magnetic solids
TL;DR: It is shown that the first order magneto-structural phase transitions observed in various classes of magnetic solids are often accompanied by useful multi-functional properties, namely giant magneto -resistance, magnete-caloric effect and magneto'-striction.

Modeling the Coupled Strain and Magnetization Response of Magnetic Shape Memory Alloys under Magnetomechanical Loading
TL;DR: In this article, a model of the magnetic shape memory alloy (MSMA) constitutive response caused by the reorientation of martensitic variants under mechanical and magnetic fields is presented.

Phase transformations in Ni–Ga–Fe ferromagnetic shape memory alloys
TL;DR: In this article, the phase equilibria between the β (B2 or L2 1 ) and γ (A1) phases in the Ni-Ga-Fe system at 900-1200°C were determined by energy dispersion X-ray spectroscopy (EDX).

Thermal stability of the Ni54Mn25Ga21 Heusler alloy with high temperature transformation
TL;DR: In this article, Ni 54 Mn 25 Ga 21 was studied with martensitic transformation temperature higher than 250 °C and 1000 thermal cycles were performed without obvious differences of its microstructure and martenitic transformation behavior.

Ferromagnetic materials
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors restrict their attention to the ferrites and a few other closely related materials, which are more closely related to anti-ferromagnetic substances than they are to ferromagnetics in which the magnetization results from the parallel alignment of all the magnetic moments present.
