TLDR
In this paper, the superelastic motion of twin boundaries in the martensitic phase of Ni2MnGa with magnetic fields of 8 kOe applied at 265 K was found to be associated with the staining.Abstract:
Strains of nearly 0.2% have been induced along [001] in unstressed crystals of Ni2MnGa with magnetic fields of 8 kOe applied at 265 K. These stains are associated with the superelastic motion of twin boundaries in the martensitic phase that is stable below about 274 K.read more

Understanding Motion of Twin Boundary—A Key to Magnetic Shape Memory Effect
TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied the behavior of a single twin boundary in magnetic field at different temperatures and found that twin boundary MIR resulting in 6% field-induced deformation can occur in the field ~10 kA/m.

Martensitic transformation in Heusler alloy Mn2PtIn: Theoretical and experimental investigation
Hongzhi Luo,Hongzhi Luo,Pengzhong Jia,Guodong Liu,Fanbin Meng,Heyan Liu,Enke Liu,Wenhong Wang,Guangheng Wu +8 more
TL;DR: The martensitic transformation in Heusler alloy Mn2PtIn has been investigated by first-principles calculations and experimental studies as mentioned in this paper, and it has been shown that a transition from cubic structure to tetragonal one is favorable in energy.

Ferromagnetic materials
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors restrict their attention to the ferrites and a few other closely related materials, which are more closely related to anti-ferromagnetic substances than they are to ferromagnetics in which the magnetization results from the parallel alignment of all the magnetic moments present.
