TLDR
In this paper, the superelastic motion of twin boundaries in the martensitic phase of Ni2MnGa with magnetic fields of 8 kOe applied at 265 K was found to be associated with the staining.
Abstract
Strains of nearly 0.2% have been induced along [001] in unstressed crystals of Ni2MnGa with magnetic fields of 8 kOe applied at 265 K. These stains are associated with the superelastic motion of twin boundaries in the martensitic phase that is stable below about 274 K.

Interaction between magnetic domain walls and antiphase boundaries in Ni2Mn(Al,Ga) studied by electron holography and Lorentz microscopy

TL;DR: The magnetization distribution in the L2 1 phase of a Ni 2 Mn(Al,Ga) Alloy has been studied by electron holography and Lorentz microscopy as mentioned in this paper.

Anti-site disorder and improved functionality of Mn2NiX (X = Al, Ga, In, Sn) inverse Heusler alloys

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of chemical disorder on phase stabilities and magnetic properties using first-principles electronic structure methods were investigated, and it was shown that except for Mn2NiAl, all other alloys show signatures of martensitic transformations in presence of anti-site disorder at the sublattices with tetrahedral symmetry.

Anomalous lattice softening of Ni2MnGa austenite due to magnetoelastic coupling

TL;DR: In this paper, the elastic constants of the cubic Ni2MnGa austenite phase and corresponding mechanical damping were determined in the temperature range from 220 K to 400µK and magnetic field up to 2 T using ultrasound pulse-echo method and resonant ultrasound spectroscopy.

Acoustic-assisted magnetic-field-induced strain and stress output of Ni–Mn–Ga single crystal

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of acoustic energy input from a piezoelectric actuator is observed to increase the magnetic-field-induced strain (MFIS) and decrease the threshold field in Ni-Mn-Ga ferromagnetic shape memory alloys (FSMAs).

Catalytic impact of alloyed Al on the corrosion behavior of Co50Ni23Ga26Al1.0 magnetic shape memory alloy and catalysis applications for efficient electrochemical H2 generation

TL;DR: In this article, the electrochemical and corrosion behavior of Co50Ni23Ga27−xAlx (x = 0 and 1.0 wt%) magnetic shape memory alloys (MSMAs) was studied in 0.5 M NaCl solutions using various electrochemical techniques.

Ferromagnetic materials

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors restrict their attention to the ferrites and a few other closely related materials, which are more closely related to anti-ferromagnetic substances than they are to ferromagnetics in which the magnetization results from the parallel alignment of all the magnetic moments present.
