TLDR
In this paper, the superelastic motion of twin boundaries in the martensitic phase of Ni2MnGa with magnetic fields of 8 kOe applied at 265 K was found to be associated with the staining.
Abstract
Strains of nearly 0.2% have been induced along [001] in unstressed crystals of Ni2MnGa with magnetic fields of 8 kOe applied at 265 K. These stains are associated with the superelastic motion of twin boundaries in the martensitic phase that is stable below about 274 K.

Stress- and magnetic-field-induced variant rearrangement in Ni-Mn-Ga single crystals with seven-layered martensitic structure

TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of magnetic field on stress-strain curves and temperature dependencies of de-twinning stress in cubic-7M martensitic transformation was studied.

Effect of temperature on magnetic properties of Ni-Mn-Ga magnetic shape memory (MSM) alloys

TL;DR: In this article, a single crystal Ni/sub 48/Mn/sub 31/Ga/sub 21/ magnetic shape memory alloy was studied as a function of field and temperature, and the observed changes of magnetization curves suggest that the large MSM effect strongly decreases with temperature and about 50 deg below the martensitic transformation vanishes entirely.

In situ studies of the martensitic transformation in epitaxial Ni–Mn–Ga films

TL;DR: In this article, temperature dependent atomic force microscopy (AFM), X-ray, magnetization and resistivity measurements are performed in situ, during martensitic transformation of a 500nm thick film.

Ferromagnetic materials

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors restrict their attention to the ferrites and a few other closely related materials, which are more closely related to anti-ferromagnetic substances than they are to ferromagnetics in which the magnetization results from the parallel alignment of all the magnetic moments present.
