Supply chain performance: how lean practices efficiently drive improvements
TL;DR: In this paper, a cross-sectional survey was carried out with 113 manufacturing companies undergoing a lean implementation to investigate which lean supply chain management (LSCM) practices efficiently improve the supply chain performance, and the results justify why some LSCM initiatives may find larger barriers than others, compromising their success due to misguided implementation efforts according to the desired performance improvement.

Lean management and operational performance in health care: Implications for business performance in private hospitals
TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined the impact of lean management on operational performance (OP) in the context of health care in Jordanian private hospitals using four bundles: total quality management (TQM), human resource management (HRM), just-in-time system (JIT) and total productive maintenance (TPM), and found that the TQM bundle affects quality performance positively but does not affect efficiency and accessibility performances, while the HRM bundle positively affects all OP dimensions.
