TLDR
There was less variation in the RFLP patterns when random cloned fragments of DNA were used as probes and group specific patterns could be identified for all groups, but significant variation within some of the groups whereas other groups were more uniform.

RAPD-PCR used to confirm that four pectic isozyme (zymogram) groups within the Australian Rhizoctonia solani AG 8 population are true intraspecific groups

TL;DR: These studies show that the AG 8 population contains four distinct groups that matched the four ZGs and support the concept that ZGs are distinct intraspecific groups.

STUDIES ON VARIABILITY OF SHEATH BLIGHT OF RICE CAUSED BY Rhizoctonia solani Kuhn. AND ITS MANAGEMENT

O Manjunatha.
TL;DR: Genetic diversity of R. solani isolates from different locations using 10 RAPD and ISSR primers showed good polymorphism at DNA level and cluster analysis of RAPD data grouped the isolates on the basis of their origin with few exceptions.

Integrated Biochemical, Cultural and Numerical Methods

TL;DR: Although not recently emphasised within Rhizoctonia, other biochemical linkages such as enzyme production, secondary metabolite production and carbon and nitrogen source utilisation have been used with other fungal groups.

Molecular Cloning: A Laboratory Manual

TL;DR: Molecular Cloning has served as the foundation of technical expertise in labs worldwide for 30 years as mentioned in this paper and has been so popular, or so influential, that no other manual has been more widely used and influential.

Studies on transformation of Escherichia coli with plasmids

TL;DR: Competition with both transforming and non-transforming plasmids indicates that each cell is capable of taking up many DNA molecules, and that the establishment of a transformation event is neither helped nor hindered significantly by the presence of multiple plasmid molecules.
