Reduced Order Model Study of Burgers' Equation using Proper Orthogonal Decomposition
TL;DR: In this paper, a numerical study of the 1D viscous Burgers' equation and several Reduced Order Models (ROMs) over a range of parameter values is conducted. But the model should first, allow for selection of optimal parameter values in a trade space and second, identify impacts from changes of parameters that occur during development, production and sustainment of the designs.
Journal ArticleDOI
Kronecker Algebra-based Deadlock Analysis for Railway Systems
TL;DR: This approach is complete and sound for railway systems, i.e., it generates neither false positives nor false negatives, and delivers its results faster if constraints are added.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Composite Mobility Model for Ad Hoc Networks in Disaster Areas
TL;DR: This work proposes a composite model of mobility for disaster scenarii which includes a realistic model of human displacement, team mobility, and obstacle avoidance and believes that it can improve the veracity of rescue operation simulations.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Dense Non-rigid Point-Matching Using Random Projections
TL;DR: A novel algorithm is proposed that incorporates high-confidence matches of points undergoing non-rigid spatial transformations as a spatial prior to learn a discriminative subspace that simultaneously encodes both the feature similarity as well as their spatial arrangement.
Journal ArticleDOI
Numerical Study on Influence of Cross Flow on Rewetting of AHWR Fuel Bundle
TL;DR: It has been found from the analyses that, for radial jet, the circumferential conduction is significant and due to influence of overall cross flow the reductions in fuel temperature in the same quench plane in different rings are different with same initial surface temperature.
