Comparing Regularized and Non-Regularized Nonlinear Dipole Fit Methods: A Study in a Simulated Sulcus Structure
TL;DR: A nonlinear dipole fit reconstruction algorithm with a new regularization approach for the embedded linear problem, automatically controlled by the noise in the data and the condition of the occuring least square problems is described.
Journal ArticleDOI
Signal analysis via instantaneous frequency estimation of signal components
TL;DR: In this article, a hybrid EMD-SST computational scheme was proposed by applying a modified SST to each IMF of the EMD, as an alternative approach to the original EMD HSA method.
Journal ArticleDOI
Birkhoff normal form for splitting methods applied to semilinear Hamiltonian PDEs. Part II. Abstract splitting
TL;DR: A normal form result is proved for the corresponding discrete flow of Hamiltonian PDEs under generic non resonance conditions on the frequencies of the linear operator and on the step size, which implies the conservation of the regularity of the numerical solution associated with the splitting method over arbitrary long time.
Computational Workloads for Commonly Used Signal Processing Kernels
TL;DR: This report collects the flop count expressions for both real and complex kernels and also presents brief outlines of the derivations for the flip count expressions.
Book ChapterDOI
A qualitative approach to localization and navigation based on visibility information
TL;DR: A model for navigation of an autonomous agent in which localization, path planning, and locomotion is performed in a qualitative manner instead of relying on exact coordinates is described.
