Journal ArticleDOI

Photochemistry of aromatic thiones in their S2 and T1 states. Role of triplet self-quenching and excimer formation

TL;DR: In this article, the authors measured the quantum yields of photodecomposition of xanthione (XT), 4H- 1-benzopyran-4-thione (BPT), and 4H pyran, 4-thiones (PT) subsequent to excitation to their S2 and S1 states.
Journal ArticleDOI

Pyrazolone azomethine dyes as effective photoinitiators of free radical polymerization

Ździslaw Kucybala, +1 more
- 01 Jan 1993 -
TL;DR: A new class of free radical photoinitiators based on pyrazolone azomethine dyes has been investigated in this article, where the free radical formation occurs via intermolecular electron transfer.
Journal ArticleDOI

CO Release from N,C,S-Pincer Iron(III) Carbonyl Complexes Induced by Visible-to-NIR Light Irradiation: Mechanistic Insight into Effects of Axial Phosphorus Ligands.

TL;DR: Light-induced CO release from newly synthesized N,C,S-pincer iron(III) carbonyl complexes with two phosphorus ligands was investigated and it was suggested that all complexes have dπ-dπ excitation modes to depopulate Fe-C(carbonyl) bonding and potentially induce the CO release by irradiation of light in the near-IR region.
Book ChapterDOI

The Reactions of Hydra Attenuata Pall. to Various Photic Stimuli

TL;DR: The reaction-patterns to sudden light-intensity changes consist of extensions and/or contractions of the body and the tentacles or of phototactically motivated locomotory activities oriented to or from a permanent light source.
Journal ArticleDOI

Photosensitization reactions of neodymium, dysprosium and lutetium diphthalocyanine

TL;DR: In this paper, photolysis of diphthalocyanine complexes of Nd III, Dy III and Lu III in the presence of pentachlorophenol (PCP) or SO 2 has been studied.
