Journal ArticleDOI

Photocatalytic reduction of aromatic azides to amines using CdS and CdSe nanoparticles

TL;DR: It is shown that CdS and CdSe nanoparticles can act as very efficient and highly chemoselective photocatalysts for the reduction of aromatic azides to aromatic amines and is relatively insensitive to the electron demands of the substituent.
Journal ArticleDOI

Photochemistry and photophysical properties of novel, unsymmetrically substituted metallophthalocyanines.

TL;DR: These soluble molecules can be tuned to optimize their photochemical and redox properties by varying the central metal, axial ligands and other substituents, thereby providing a series of molecules for the investigation of photodynamic therapy and photoinduced electron transfer mechanisms.
Journal ArticleDOI

Permeation of lysosomal membranes in the course of photosensitization with methylene blue and hematoporphyrin: Study by cellular microspectrofluorometry.

TL;DR: The high sensitivity of the fluorescence detection makes it possible to use 4‐methylumbelliferyl substrates for the enzymes contained in a single cell, leading to enzyme release accompanying strong morphological changes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Photocatalysed transformation of chloroaromatic derivatives on zinc oxide II: Dichlorobenzenes

TL;DR: In this paper, the oxidative transformation of dichlorobenzenes photocatalysed by ZnO in aqueous solution has been studied using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS).
Journal ArticleDOI

Rose bengal-sensitized photooxidation of 2-chlorophenol in water using solar simulated light.

Jacek S. Miller
- 01 Jan 2005 -
TL;DR: The decomposition of 2-chlorophenol in an aqueous solution by means of photosensitized oxidation using rose bengal has been studied and an attempt was made to identify the main photooxidation products.
