MPC is a method of simplicity, rapidity and sensitivity for protein quantification assay especially suitable for the determination of large number of microliter samples.
Abstract
AIM To develop a rapid and sensitive method of protein quantification assay. METHODS Protein content of bovine serum albumin (BSA) and mice liver homogenate was determinated by microplate colormetric (MPC) in which coomassie brilliant blue (CBB) is used as color reagent. RESULTS Detecting limit of MPC was lower (0.63 μg) than that of macro colormetric (MC). MPC had advantage of rapidity and lesser volume of sample (a few microliter). CONCLUSION MPC is a method of simplicity, rapidity and sensitivity for protein quantification assay especially suitable for the determination of large number of microliter samples.

Antitumor activity of polysaccharides isolated from Patrinia heterophylla.

TL;DR: PHB-P1 could inhibit tumor growth and induce tumor cell apoptosis, and might up-regulate the expression of p53 and Bax, and significantly inhibited theexpression of Bcl-2 in tumor tissues.

[Expression and purification of fusion protein CTP-SOD in Pichia pastoris and antioxidant capacity analysis].

TL;DR: CTP-SOD fusion gene was amplified from human cDNA by PCR, and the active recombinant protein was successfully expressed in Pichia pastoris and showed a significantly improved survival against the pyrogallol-induced oxidative stress, suggesting CTP-S OD could cross the cell membrane more efficiently and protect cells from oxidative stress.
