In this paper, the renormalization of the three pseudoscalar gauge invariant operators which appear in the Adler-Bell-Jackiw anomaly is studied in the back ground field gauge, where it is simplest.
Abstract
The renormalization of the three pseudoscalar gauge invariant operators which appear in the Adler-Bell-Jackiw anomaly is studied in the back-ground field gauge, where it is simplest. We analyse questions concerning renormalization-group invariance, mixing, the γ5-perscription inD dimensions, as well as the meaning of the nonrenormalization of the axial anomaly in the context of the renormalization of composite operators.

Colloidal gels: equilibrium and non-equilibrium routes

TL;DR: In this article, a classification of different colloidal gels based on colloid colloid interactions is presented, and the authors discriminate primarily between non-equilibrium and equilibrium routes to gelation, the former being slaved to thermodynamic phase separation while the latter is individuated in the framework of competing interactions and of patchy colloids.

The Background Field Method Beyond One Loop

L. F. Abbott
- 13 Jul 1981 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the background field approach to multi-loop calculations in gauge field theories is presented and a relation between the gauge-invariant effective action computed using this method and the effective action of the conventional functional approach is derived.
