Binary asteroid population. 2. Anisotropic distribution of orbit poles of small, inner main-belt binaries

TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that the binary orbit poles oriented preferentially up/down-right are due to either of the two processes: (i) the YORP tilt of spin axes of their parent bodies toward the asymptotic states near obliquities 0° and 180° (pre-formation mechanism) or (ii) the tilt of the primary components of the already formed binary systems toward the same positions near the asyclic states near the same position.

Tidal Evolution of the Spin-Orbit Angle in Exoplanetary Systems

TL;DR: In this paper, a simple system comprising a Sun-like star and a hot Jupiter adopting the equilibrium tide and the inertial wave dissipation effects simultaneously is examined, and it is shown that the combined tidal model works as a very efficient realignment mechanism; it predicts three distinct states of the spin-orbit angle (i.e., parallel, polar, and antiparallel orbits) for a while, but the latter two states eventually approach the parallel spinorbit configuration.
