TLDR
Investigation of the sedimentation behaviors of two most widely used ENMs copresented in the natural water of China showed that the coexistence of like negative charge nZnO and nTiO2 effectively enhanced the stability of either ENM by competing hetero-aggregation with natural colloids (NCs) and reducing to form homo-Aggregates by the hindrance effect on particle collision.

Effects of interactions between humic acid and heavy metal ions on the aggregation of TiO2 nanoparticles in water environment

TL;DR: Combined effects of Pb2+ and HA on the aggregation behavior of TiO2 NPs in water environment were investigated by Dynamic light scattering (DLS) and Nanoparticle tracking analysis (NTA); and it was found that the addition sequences of HA and heavy metal clearly influenced the aggregation kinetics of TiNPs.
Journal ArticleDOI

Understanding effect of solution chemistry on heteroaggregation of zinc oxide and copper oxide nanoparticles.

TL;DR: The Derjaguin-Landau-Verway-Overbeek (DLVO) analyses indicated that aggregation of mixture of NPs might be happening due to combined effects of ionic layer compression, charge neutralization and van der Waals attraction.
