TLDR
Experimental results indicate that the structure and properties of the PLD-HA films varied with deposition parameters, and the value of the Ca/P ratio was significantly higher in the region near the surface, particularly near the coating-substrate interface, than in the coating interior.

Biomimetic apatite coatings on micro-arc oxidized titania.

TL;DR: The use of 1.5 SBF shortened the apatite induction time andApatite formation was confirmed even on the surface of the films oxidized at 350 V, which suggests that the incorporated Ca and P in the titania films play a similar role to the Ca- and P-containing compounds in the SBF.

Bond strength of plasma-sprayed hydroxyapatite/Ti composite coatings.

TL;DR: An attempt has been made to enhance the bonding strength of HA coating by forming a composite coating with Ti, and the obtained results revealed that the addition of Ti to HA improved the bonded strength of coating significantly.

Plasma sprayed coatings of hydroxylapatite

TL;DR: The technique of plasma spraying has been applied to deposit a thin, dense layer of hydroxylapatite onto a titanium substrate, and animal studies showed similar histological reactions to apatite coatings as to (well documented) Apatite bulk materials.
