Synthesis and preliminary evaluation of some substituted coumarins as anticonvulsant agents.

No clear correlation was observed between the antiepileptic activity and molecular lipophilicity descriptors of the tested compounds, and some selected compounds were assayed against seizures induced by pentylenetetrazole and strychnine in mice.
