Recovery of gold and silver from spent mobile phones by means of acidothiourea leaching followed by adsorption using biosorbent prepared from persimmon tannin

TL;DR: A new approach of recovering precious metals from printed circuit boards (PCBs) of mobile waste by acidothiourea leaching followed by selective adsorption on low-cost and environmentally benign biomass sorbent prepared from easily available agricultural waste is suggested in this article.

Redox-Switchable Copper(I) Metallogel: A Metal–Organic Material for Selective and Naked-Eye Sensing of Picric Acid

TL;DR: The gel material shows a highly selective visual response to a commonly used nitroexplosive, picric acid among a set of 19 congeners and the preferred selectivity has been mechanistically interpreted with density functional theory-based calculations.
Journal ArticleDOI

In situ synthesis of CuS nanotubes on Cu electrode for sensitive nonenzymatic glucose sensor

TL;DR: In this article, a non-enzymatic glucose sensor based on CuS nanotube (CuS NTs) was fabricated by a simple self-sacrificial template method.

Crystal handling at low temperatures

TL;DR: In this paper, the cooling of a crystal in combination with the use of a protecting oil facilitates the handling and transfer to a diffractometer of even very sensitive material, and the method is explained and the required device is described in this work.
