TLDR
In this paper, a volume visualization technique for generating a 3D visualization image of an internal organ using volume visualization techniques is presented. But this technique is not suitable for the visualization of complex 3D objects.
Abstract
Methods for generating a three-dimensional visualization image of an object, such as an internal organ, using volume visualization techniques are provided. The techniques include a multi-scan imaging method; a multi-resolution imaging method; and a method for generating a skeleton of a complex three dimension object. The applications include virtual cystoscopy, virtual laryngoscopy, virtual angiography, among others.

Reducing motion artefacts in MRI

TL;DR: In this article, a motion pattern of a region of interest ROI is estimated by selecting a fixed point at an anatomical position that is pre-determined to be little or not affected by motion and rotating a point in the ROI that is affected from motion detected by a navigator or other methods.

Automated centerline detection algorithm for colon-like 3D surfaces

TL;DR: In this paper, a 3D image of the colon-like surface is processed to determine at least its ring structure, which is composed of vertex points, each vertex point having a discrete point identifier and three dimensional position information.

Method for automatic branch labelling

TL;DR: In this paper, a method of analyzing an object data set in which a tubular structure having a plurality of branches and bifurcations occurs, wherein the object data sets assigns data values to positions in a multi-dimensional space, which data values relate to an object to be examined.

Microscope Magnification Sensor

TL;DR: In this paper, the size and position of a marker on a magnified image of an object is scaled in order to reflect the selected magnification level, which allows the marker to maintain identification of the target location while reflecting the selected level.
