Texture analysis using gray level run lengths
TLDR
In this paper, a set of texture features based on gray level run lengths is described, and good classification results are obtained with these features on a sets of samples representing nine terrain types.About:

Experimental inhibition of peroxisomal beta-oxidation in rats: influence on brain myelination.
TL;DR: Oral administration of thioridazine, an inhibitor of peroxisomal β‐oxidation, to normal rats from weaning till day 60 causes a small increase of the very long chain fatty acid C26 in brain lipids and myelination in the brain is decreased.

Texture processing of synthetic aperture radar data using second-order spatial statistics
TL;DR: Texture processing of a high-resolution airborne synthetic aperture radar image in an agricultural environment improved crop classification over the raw data, and classification of the large-number emphasis feature showed a 30.5% improvement over the tonal data.
Texture Classification Based on Random Threshold Vector Technique
TL;DR: A new feature set derived from the fractal geometry, called the random threshold vector (RTV), is proposed for texture analysis and shows that the RTV contains great discriminatory information needed for a successful classification.

Detection of Focal Cortical Dysplasia Lesions in MRI Using Textural Features
TL;DR: This work investigates the potential of different texture features, in order to explore to what extent they are suitable for detecting lesional tissue, and shows first promising results based on segmentation and texture classification.

Quantitative morphological analysis of adriamycin-resistant human K562 leukemic cells.
TL;DR: In this paper, the morphological changes associated with Adriamycin resistance in a human leukemic cell line have been investigated by image analysis, showing that resistant cells display significant morphological change as compared with sensitive cells, at both the nuclear and cytoplasmic levels.

Textural Features for Image Classification
TL;DR: These results indicate that the easily computable textural features based on gray-tone spatial dependancies probably have a general applicability for a wide variety of image-classification applications.

Gray-Level Manipulation Experiments for Texture Analysis
TL;DR: Some gray-level manipulation techniques are described, the first of which involves changing thegray-level distribution within the picture, and a method for extracting relatively noise-free objects from a noisy background is described.
