Texture analysis using gray level run lengths

TLDR
In this paper, a set of texture features based on gray level run lengths is described, and good classification results are obtained with these features on a sets of samples representing nine terrain types.

Three-dimensional texture analysis of contrast enhanced CT images for treatment response assessment in Hodgkin lymphoma: Comparison with F-18-FDG PET

TL;DR: 3D TA of CE-CT images is potentially useful to identify nodal residual disease in HL, with a performance comparable to that of classical CT parameters, and best results are achieved when TA and classical CT features are combined.

Monitoring of chemotherapy-induced morphonuclear modifications by means of digital cell-image analysis.

TL;DR: The potential application of digital cell-image analysis to characterize the morphonuclear modifications induced by various drugs including VP16, a podophyllotoxin derivative, PE1001, an investigational alkylating agent, and doxorubicin, an intercalating agent are illustrated.

Texture analysis of apparent diffusion coefficient maps for treatment response assessment in prostate cancer bone metastases-A pilot study.

TL;DR: The findings in the present work indicate that whole-tumor volumetric texture analysis may be utilized for response assessment in prostate cancer bone metastases and may be used as a complementary measure for treatment monitoring in conjunction with averaged ADC values.

Gray-Level Manipulation Experiments for Texture Analysis

TL;DR: Some gray-level manipulation techniques are described, the first of which involves changing thegray-level distribution within the picture, and a method for extracting relatively noise-free objects from a noisy background is described.
