TLDR
In this paper, a set of texture features based on gray level run lengths is described, and good classification results are obtained with these features on a sets of samples representing nine terrain types.About:

Radiomics of peripheral nerves MRI in mild carpal and cubital tunnel syndrome
Federica Rossi,Bianca Bignotti,Lorenzo Bianchi,Riccardo Picasso,Carlo Martinoli,Alberto Tagliafico +5 more
TL;DR: The results suggested that radiomics analysis could assess the median and ulnar nerve inner structure changes due to the loss of the fascicular pattern, intraneural edema, fibrosis or fascicular alterations in mild carpal tunnel and mild cubital tunnel syndromes even when the nerve cross-sectional area does not change.

Detection and Classification of Focal Liver Lesions using Support Vector Machine Classifiers
TL;DR: Two computer aided diagnostic systems designed to detect and classify focal liver lesions such as Cyst, Hemangioma, Hepatocellular carcinoma and Metastases outperforms the neural network based diagnostic system designed for the same purpose by providing 96.6% classification accuracy for typical cases and 85.3% for atypical cases.

TL;DR: Experimental results indicated that this new automation system accurately predicted the bilateral filtering parameters and effectively removed the noise in a number of MR images, and saved significant processing time.

Applying 3D texture algorithms on MRI to evaluate quality traits of loin
Mar Ávila,Daniel Caballero,Teresa Antequera,Maria Luisa Durán,Andrés Caro,Trinidad Pérez-Palacios +5 more
TL;DR: Considering not only the accuracy of the methodology but also the computational cost, the use of GE, GLCM and IR could be proposed to determine physico-chemical parameters of loins non-destructively.

TL;DR: These results indicate that the easily computable textural features based on gray-tone spatial dependancies probably have a general applicability for a wide variety of image-classification applications.

Gray-Level Manipulation Experiments for Texture Analysis
TL;DR: Some gray-level manipulation techniques are described, the first of which involves changing thegray-level distribution within the picture, and a method for extracting relatively noise-free objects from a noisy background is described.
