Assessing the Energy Consumption Efficiency, Irrigation Application Uniformity and Life Cycle Assessment of Groundwater-Based Irrigation Systems in Oklahoma

Divya Handa
TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluated the overall pumping efficiency of two pumping plants and compared against two widely used standards: The Nebraska Pumping Plant Performance Criteria (NPPPC) (Krantz, 2010) and the efficiency classification developed by the Center for Irrigation Technology (CIT) at California State University-Fresno.

Water footprint assessment of food-water-energy systems at Kathmandu University, Nepal

TL;DR: In this paper, a conceptual analytical framework on water footprint (WF) is developed to assess the interaction of energy, food, and water resources in Kathmandu University (KU), Dhulikhel, Nepal.

Development, water and energy in the context of climate change in North Africa

TL;DR: In this article, a holistic approach was adopted to explore and quantify interactions between water and energy in the context of climate change in North Africa. But the authors did not consider virtual water as an additional option to reduce the local water demand.

Environmental impact and impact assessment of seawater desalination

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present an overview on present seawater desalination capacities by region, a synopsis of the key environmental concerns of desalification, including ways of mitigating the impacts on the environment, and of avoiding some of the dangers of the environment to Desalination.

The water footprint of bioenergy

TL;DR: If a shift toward a greater contribution of bioenergy to energy supply takes place, the results of this study can be used to select the crops and countries that produce bioenergy in the most water-efficient way.

Estimated Use of Water in the United States in 2000

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors propose a method to solve the problem of homonymity in homonym identification, i.e., homonymization, in the context of homology.
