Validation of a free software for unsupervised assessment of abdominal fat in MRI.

TLDR
The developed software is capable of segmenting the metabolically different adipose tissues with a high degree of accuracy and can easily have a widespread and enable large-scale population studies regarding the adipose tissue and its related diseases.

MRI adipose tissue and muscle composition analysis-a review of automation techniques.

TL;DR: It is found that very few clinical studies have used highly automated analysis methods, despite the rapidly increasing use of MRI for body composition analysis, between 2013 and 2017.

Analysis of micro-structural damage evolution of concrete through coupled X-ray computed tomography and gray-level co-occurrence matrices method

TL;DR: In this paper, a coupled method based on statistical method and X-ray CT to extract indicators of subtle changes in gray value changes in the original number matrix of CT image is proposed.

Dynamic changes in the distribution of facial and abdominal adipose tissue correlated with surgical treatment in acromegaly.

TL;DR: Reduction of serum GH after surgical treatment of acromegaly was associated with dynamic increases of IHL, abdominal visceral, and subcutaneous fat, but a reduction of facial sub cutaneous fat.

Abdominal obesity and metabolic syndrome

TL;DR: This work has shown that abdominal obesity — the most prevalent manifestation of metabolic syndrome — is a marker of 'dysfunctional adipose tissue', and is of central importance in clinical diagnosis.

Subcutaneous and visceral adipose tissue : Their relation to the metabolic syndrome

TL;DR: Methods for assessment of several phenotypes of human obesity, with special reference to abdominal fat content, have been evaluated and the endocrine regulation of abdominal visceral fat in comparison with the adipose tissue localized in other areas is presented.
