Walton,Sebastian L. Johnston,Sebastian L. Johnston +38 more
TL;DR: IL-33 and type 2 cytokines are induced during a rhinovirus-induced asthma exacerbation in vivo and relate to exacerbation severity, which is a novel therapeutic approach for asthma exacerbations.
Journal ArticleDOI
An Anti-Human ICAM-1 Antibody Inhibits Rhinovirus-Induced Exacerbations of Lung Inflammation
Stephanie Traub,A A Nikonova,Alan M. Carruthers,Rebecca Dunmore,Katherine A. Vousden,Leila Gogsadze,Weidong Hao,Qing Zhu,Katie Bernard,Jie Zhu,Michael Dymond,Gary R. McLean,Ross P. Walton,Nicholas Glanville,Alison A. Humbles,Musa Khaitov,Ted Wells,Roland Kolbeck,Andrew Leishman,Matthew A. Sleeman,Nathan W. Bartlett,Sebastian L. Johnston +21 more
TL;DR: A human ICAM-1 domain-1-specific antibody can prevent major group HRV entry and induction of airway inflammation in vivo, and reduce cellular inflammation, pro-inflammatory cytokine induction and virus load in vivo.
Journal ArticleDOI
Diversity of PEGylation methods of liposomes and their influence on RNA delivery.
A S Nosova,O. O. Koloskova,A A Nikonova,V A Simonova,V. V. Smirnov,Dmitry Kudlay,Musa Khaitov +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors discuss the latest methods of PEGylated liposome preparation and discuss the process of "stealth" coverage formation for efficient transfection assays and further fate determination of the PEG layer after tissue penetration.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sergeev,Dmitriy Yu. Trofimov,Alexander Martynov,Igor Berzin,Vladimir A. Gushchin,Aleksey Kovalchuk,Sergei V. Borisevich,Rudolf Valenta,Khaitov Rakhim M,Veronica Skvortsova +31 more
TL;DR: This study identified the siRNA, siR-7, targeting SARS-CoV-2 RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp) as the most efficient siRNA inhibiting viral replication in vitro and developed a therapeutic strategy for COVID-19 based on inhalation of a modified siRNA-peptide dendrimer formulation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Anti-inflammatory effect of fullerene C60 in a mice model of atopic dermatitis.
Nadezda Shershakova,Elena Baraboshkina,Sergey M. Andreev,Daria Purgina,Irina Struchkova,Oleg Kamyshnikov,A A Nikonova,Musa Khaitov +7 more
TL;DR: Anti-inflammatory effects of C60 (nC60) aqueous dispersion were evaluated in the mouse models of atopic dermatitis using subcutaneous and epicutaneous applications during 50 days period and it is suppose that nC60 treatment shifts immune response from Th2 to Th1 and restores to some extent the function of the skin barrier.
