Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis and in vitro selective anti-Helicobacter pylori activity of N-substituted-2-oxo-2H-1-benzopyran-3-carboxamides.
Franco Chimenti,Bruna Bizzarri,Adriana Bolasco,Daniela Secci,Paola Chimenti,Simone Carradori,Arianna Granese,Daniela Rivanera,D. Lilli,M.M. Scaltrito,M. Immacolata Brenciaglia +10 more
TL;DR: Among the prepared compounds those with a 4-acyl-phenyl group showed the best activity against H. pylori metronidazole resistant strains in the 0.25-1 microg/ml MIC range, indicating the presence of an acyl function as an important feature for activity.
Journal ArticleDOI
CPTH6, a Thiazole Derivative, Induces Histone Hypoacetylation and Apoptosis in Human Leukemia Cells
Daniela Trisciuoglio,Ylenia Ragazzoni,Andrea Pelosi,Marianna Desideri,Simone Carradori,Chiara Gabellini,Giovanna Maresca,Riccardo Nescatelli,Daniela Secci,Adriana Bolasco,Bruna Bizzarri,Chiara Cavaliere,Igea D'Agnano,Patrizia Filetici,Lucia Ricci-Vitiani,Maria Giulia Rizzo,Donatella Del Bufalo +16 more
TL;DR: CPTH6 leads to an inhibition of Gcn5 and pCAF HAT activity and inhibits H3/H4 histones and α-tubulin acetylation of a panel of leukemia cell lines, making it a suitable tool for discovery of molecular targets of HAT and, potentially, for the development of new anticancer therapies.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis, anti-Candida activity, and cytotoxicity of new (4-(4-iodophenyl)thiazol-2-yl)hydrazine derivatives
Daniela Secci,Bruna Bizzarri,Adriana Bolasco,Simone Carradori,Melissa D'Ascenzio,Daniela Rivanera,Emanuela Mari,Lucia Polletta,Alessandra Zicari +8 more
TL;DR: Novel (4-iodophenyl)-thiazol-2-yl)hydrazine derivatives were assayed for their in vitro anti-Candida activity, compared to topical and systemic antifungal drugs, against twenty-seven clinical isolates and gave a promising inhibitory activity especially against Candida albicans and Candida krusei.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis, molecular modeling studies and selective inhibitory activity against MAO of N1-propanoyl-3,5-diphenyl-4,5-dihydro-(1H)-pyrazole derivatives.
Franco Chimenti,Rossella Fioravanti,Adriana Bolasco,Fedele Manna,Paola Chimenti,Daniela Secci,Francesca Rossi,Paola Turini,Francesco Ortuso,Stefano Alcaro,Maria Cristina Cardia +10 more
TL;DR: A series of N1-propanoyl-3, 5-diphenyl-4,5-dihydro-(1H)-pyrazole derivatives were synthesized and assayed as inhibitors of MAO-A andMAO-B isoforms to highlight the most relevant interactions in the mechanism of recognition.
Journal ArticleDOI
Simple Extraction and HPLC Determination of UV-A and UV-B Filters in Sunscreen Products
D. De Orsi,Giacomo Giannini,Luigi Gagliardi,R. Porrà,Simona Berri,Adriana Bolasco,Irene Carpani,Domenica Tonelli +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the determination of 11 organic UV filters, worldwide authorised in sunscreen formulations, was performed by HPLC with UV spectrophotometric detection, and the filters determined were: phenylbenzimidazole sulfonic acid, benzophenone-4, benzphenone-3, 4-methylbenzylidene camphor, ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, octocrylene, methylene bis-benzotriazolyl tetramethylbutyl phenol, butyl methoxydibenzoylmeth
