Journal ArticleDOI
A DEMETER-like DNA demethylase governs tomato fruit ripening
Ruie Liu,Alexandre How-Kit,Linda Stammitti,Emeline Teyssier,Dominique Rolin,Anne Mortain-Bertrand,Stefanie Halle,Mingchun Liu,Mingchun Liu,Junhua Kong,Chaoqun Wu,Charlotte Degraeve-Guibault,Natalie H. Chapman,Mickaël Maucourt,T. Charlie Hodgman,Jörg Tost,Mondher Bouzayen,Mondher Bouzayen,Yiguo Hong,Yiguo Hong,Graham B. Seymour,James J. Giovannoni,Philippe Gallusci +22 more
TL;DR: This work defines a molecular mechanism, which has until now been missing, to explain the correlation between genomic DNA demethylation and fruit ripening and demonstrates a direct cause-and-effect relationship between active DNA dem methylation and induction of gene expression in fruits.
Journal ArticleDOI
Variation in genomic landscape of clear cell renal cell carcinoma across Europe
Ghislaine Scelo,Yasser Riazalhosseini,Liliana Greger,Louis Letourneau,Mar Gonzàlez-Porta,Magdalena B. Wozniak,Mathieu Bourgey,Patricia Harnden,Lars Egevad,Sharon Jackson,Mehran Karimzadeh,Madeleine Arseneault,Pierre Lepage,Alexandre How-Kit,Antoine Daunay,Victor Renault,Hélène Blanché,Emmanuel Tubacher,Jeremy Sehmoun,Juris Viksna,Edgars Celms,Martins Opmanis,Andris Zarins,Naveen S. Skryabin,Egor Prokhortchouk,Anne Cambon-Thomsen,Johan Rung,Guillaume Bourque,Paul Brennan,Jörg Tost,Rosamonde E. Banks,Alvis Brazma,G Mark Lathrop +60 more
TL;DR: The results show that the processes underlyingccRCC tumorigenesis may vary in different populations and suggest that AA may be an important ccRCC carcinogen in Romania, a finding with major public health implications.
Journal ArticleDOI
NRAS Mutation Is the Sole Recurrent Somatic Mutation in Large Congenital Melanocytic Nevi
C Charbel,Romain H. Fontaine,Romain H. Fontaine,Gabriel G. Malouf,Arnaud Picard,Natacha Kadlub,Natacha Kadlub,Nizar El-Murr,Nizar El-Murr,Alexandre How-Kit,Xiaoping Su,Aurore Coulomb-L'Hermine,Jörg Tost,Samia Mourah,Selim Aractingi,Sarah Guégan,Sarah Guégan +16 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that NRAS mutations are sufficient to drive melanocytic benign proliferations in utero and not BRAF mutations, which are commonly found in CMN pathogenesis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Recurrent NRAS mutations in pulmonary Langerhans cell histiocytosis
Samia Mourah,Alexandre How-Kit,Véronique Meignin,Dominique Gossot,Gwenaël Lorillon,Emmanuelle Bugnet,Florence Mauger,Céleste Lebbé,Sylvie Chevret,Jörg Tost,Abdellatif Tazi +10 more
TL;DR: The presence of concurrent BRAFV600E and NRASQ61K/R mutations was significantly associated with patient outcome and highlights the importance of NRAS genotyping of pulmonary LCH lesions because the use of BRAF inhibitors in this context may lead to paradoxical disease progression.
Journal ArticleDOI
Molecular and Computational Methods for the Detection of Microsatellite Instability in Cancer.
TL;DR: All the different molecular and computational methods developed to date for the detection of MSI in cancer, how they have evolved and improved over the years, and their advantages and drawbacks are described.
