TL;DR: Malaria and dengue were the most common causes of fever in this study, and a high overlap between case definitions probably reflects high prevalence of prior infections, cross reactivity and subclinical infections, rather thanhigh prevalence of coinfections.

Correlation of TEM, SHV and CTX-M extended-spectrum beta lactamases among Enterobacteriaceae with their in vitro antimicrobial susceptibility.
TL;DR: More than one ESBL was produced by many strains, and this was correlated with increased resistance levels, so Carbapenems continue to show good in vitro activity and ertapenem is a potential alternative to imipenem and meropenem.
