Journal ArticleDOI
Is hormonal therapy associated with better quality of life in transsexuals? A cross-sectional study.
Audrey Gorin-Lazard,Karine Baumstarck,Laurent Boyer,Aurélie Maquigneau,Stéphanie Gebleux,Jean-Claude Penochet,Dominique Pringuey,Frédérique Albarel,Isabelle Morange,Anderson Loundou,Julie Berbis,Pascal Auquier,Christophe Lançon,Mireille Bonierbale +13 more
TL;DR: A positive effect of hormone therapy on transsexuals' QoL is suggested after accounting for confounding factors, which will be useful for healthcare providers of transgender persons but should be confirmed with larger samples using a prospective study design.
Journal ArticleDOI
Maintenance bevacizumab–pemetrexed after first-line cisplatin–pemetrexed–bevacizumab for advanced nonsquamous nonsmall-cell lung cancer: updated survival analysis of the AVAPERL (MO22089) randomized phase III trial
Fabrice Barlesi,Arnaud Scherpereel,Vera Gorbunova,Radj Gervais,Anders Vikström,Christos Chouaid,Antonio Chella,Jeong-Ho Kim,Myung-Ju Ahn,Martin Reck,Antonio Pazzola,H. T. Kim,Joachim G.J.V. Aerts,Claire Morando,Anderson Loundou,H. Groen,Achim Rittmeyer +16 more
TL;DR: In an unselected population of nsNSCLC patients achieving disease control on platinum-based induction therapy, maintenance with bevacizumab-pemetrexed was associated with a nonsignificant increase in OS over bevacsumab alone.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of Sedative Premedication on Patient Experience After General Anesthesia: A Randomized Clinical Trial
Axel Maurice-Szamburski,Pascal Auquier,Véronique Viarre-Oreal,Philippe Cuvillon,Michel Carles,Jacques Ripart,Stéphane Honoré,Thibaut Triglia,Anderson Loundou,Marc Leone,Nicolas Bruder +10 more
TL;DR: Among patients undergoing elective surgery under general anesthesia, sedative premedications with lorazepam compared with placebo or no premedication did not improve the self-reported patient experience the day after surgery, but was associated with modestly prolonged time to extubation and a lower rate of early cognitive recovery.
Journal ArticleDOI
Long-term efficacy and safety of rituximab in IgG4-related disease: Data from a French nationwide study of thirty-three patients.
Mikael Ebbo,Aurélie Grados,Maxime Samson,Matthieu Groh,Anderson Loundou,Aude Rigolet,Benjamin Terrier,Constance Guillaud,Clarisse Carra-Dalliere,F. Renou,Agnieszka Pozdzik,Pierre Labauge,S. Palat,Jean-Marie Berthelot,Jean-Loup Pennaforte,Alain Wynckel,C. Lebas,Noémie Le Gouellec,Thomas Quemeneur,Karine Dahan,Franck Carbonnel,Gaëlle Leroux,Antoinette Perlat,Alexis Mathian,Patrice Cacoub,Eric Hachulla,Nathalie Costedoat-Chalumeau,Jean-Robert Harlé,Nicolas Schleinitz +28 more
TL;DR: RTX is effective for both induction therapy and treatment of relapses in IgG4-RD, but relapses are frequent after B-cell reconstitution, and maintenance therapy with systematic RTX infusions is associated with longer relapse-free survival and might represent a novel treatment strategy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of driving pressure on mortality in ARDS patients during lung protective mechanical ventilation in two randomized controlled trials.
Claude Guérin,Claude Guérin,Laurent Papazian,Laurent Papazian,Jean Reignier,Louis Ayzac,Anderson Loundou,Jean-Marie Forel,Proseva trials +8 more
TL;DR: When ventilating patients with low VT, ΔPrs is a risk factor for death in ARDS patients, as is Pplat,rs or Crs, which was expected as these variables are mathematically coupled.
