Journal ArticleDOI

The 2017 terahertz science and technology roadmap

TL;DR: The 2017 roadmap of terahertz frequency electromagnetic radiation (100 GHz-30 THz) as discussed by the authors provides a snapshot of the present state of THz science and technology in 2017, and provides an opinion on the challenges and opportunities that the future holds.
Journal ArticleDOI

Pulsed terahertz spectroscopy of DNA, bovine serum albumin and collagen between 0.1 and 2.0 THz

TL;DR: The first use of pulsed terahertz spectroscopy to examine low-frequency collective vibrational modes of biomolecules was reported in this paper, which indicated that a large number of the lowfrequency collective modes for these systems are IR active.
Journal ArticleDOI

THz time domain spectroscopy of biomolecular conformational modes

TL;DR: The measured absorbances of terahertz time domain spectroscopy of several biomolecular systems are compared and it is found that the TTDS absorbance reflects the density of normal modes determined by molecular mechanics calculations, and is sensitive to both conformation and mutation.
