The effect of non‐esterified long‐chain fatty acids on blood flow and thermogenesis in brown adipose tissue in the young dog
TL;DR: It is concluded that in vivo assessment of BAT thermogenesis requires concomitant measurements of both local BAT temperature and blood flow, and that the increase in whole body oxygen consumption was not due to stimulation ofBAT thermogenesis.
Journal ArticleDOI
The effect of UHT-processed dairy milk on cardio-metabolic risk factors.
C K Hansen,Lars Klingenberg,Lotte Bach Larsen,Janne K. Lorenzen,Karina Vejrum Sørensen,Arne Astrup +5 more
TL;DR: This study does not support the hypothesis that UHT processing of milk increases the risk of CVD, and no effects of type of milk were observed in other blood lipid levels, such as total cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol or triglycerides.
Journal ArticleDOI
Body weight and metabolic risk factors in patients with type 2 diabetes on a self-selected high-protein low-carbohydrate diet.
