Journal ArticleDOI

Identification of a mast-cell-specific receptor crucial for pseudo-allergic drug reactions

TL;DR: In this paper, a mouse model was introduced to study mast cell activation by basic secretagogues and identify MRGPRX2 as a potential therapeutic target to reduce a subset of drug-induced adverse effects.
Journal ArticleDOI

A subpopulation of nociceptors specifically linked to itch

TL;DR: Genetically labeled and manipulated MrgprA3+ neurons in the dorsal root ganglion (DRG) and found that they exclusively innervated the epidermis of the skin and responded to multiple pruritogens.
Journal ArticleDOI

Distinct and common expression of receptors for inflammatory mediators in vagal nodose versus jugular capsaicin-sensitive/TRPV1-positive neurons detected by low input RNA sequencing

TL;DR: This study microscopically isolated murine nodose and jugular capsaicin-sensitive / Trpv1-expressing C-fiber neurons and performed transcriptome profiling using ultra-low input RNA sequencing, which detected genes with significantly differential expression in jugular and nodose neurons, which were mostly involved in neural functions.
