Detailed, Accurate, Human Shape Estimation from Clothed 3D Scan Sequences
TL;DR: This work contributes a new approach to recover a personalized shape of the person by estimating body shape under clothing from a sequence of 3D scans, which outperforms the state of the art in both pose estimation and shape estimation, qualitatively and quantitatively.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bypassing a kinase activity with an ATP-competitive drug.
TL;DR: The role of Ire1's kinase domain was explored by sensitizing it through site-directed mutagenesis to the ATP-competitive inhibitor 1NM-PP1, and a conformational change in the kinasedomain triggered by occupancy of the active site with a ligand leads to activation of all known downstream functions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synergistically Interactive Pyridinic‐N–MoP Sites: Identified Active Centers for Enhanced Hydrogen Evolution in Alkaline Solution
Di Zhao,Kaian Sun,Kaian Sun,Weng-Chon Cheong,Lirong Zheng,Chao Zhang,Shoujie Liu,Xing Cao,Konglin Wu,Yuan Pan,Zewen Zhuang,Botao Hu,Dingsheng Wang,Qing Peng,Chen Chen,Yadong Li +15 more
TL;DR: Results of experimental investigations and theoretical calculations indicate that the synergy between MoP and the pyridinic N can most effectively promote the HER in alkaline media; their interaction substantially increases the electron density on the N-doped support, thereby accelerating the water splitting.
Journal ArticleDOI
Requirements for Cdk7 in the assembly of Cdk1/cyclin B and activation of Cdk2 revealed by chemical genetics in human cells.
Stéphane Larochelle,Karl A. Merrick,Karl A. Merrick,Marie-Emilie Terret,Lara Wohlbold,Nora M. Barboza,Chao Zhang,Kevan M. Shokat,Prasad V. Jallepalli,Robert P. Fisher +9 more
TL;DR: Different modes of CDK activation by Cdk7 are revealed at two distinct execution points in the cell cycle, indicating that the two steps of Cdk1 activation-cyclin binding and T loop phosphorylation-are mutually dependent.
Journal ArticleDOI
Heterogeneous electro-Fenton using modified iron–carbon as catalyst for 2,4-dichlorophenol degradation: Influence factors, mechanism and degradation pathway
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that such a heterogeneous EF using cheap modified Fe-C catalyst was promising for organic wastewater treatment in initial neutral pH condition and possible mechanism and degradation pathway for 2,4-DCP were proposed.
