Journal ArticleDOI
Heat Shock Protein 90 Overexpression Independently Predicts Inferior Disease-Free Survival with Differential Expression of the α and β Isoforms in Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors
Chien-Feng Li,Wen-Wei Huang,Jing Mei Wu,Shih Chen Yu,Tsung Hui Hu,Yih Huei Uen,Yu Fang Tian,Ching Nan Lin,David S.K. Lu,Fu-Min Fang,Hsuan-Ying Huang +10 more
TL;DR: Hsp90 overexpression represents a poor prognosticator that correlates with several adverse parameters, highlighting its role in disease progression and alternative therapy for high-risk, imatinib-resistant gastrointestinal stromal tumors.
Journal ArticleDOI
CCAAT/enhancer binding protein δ in macrophages contributes to immunosuppression and inhibits phagocytosis in nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
Yu Wei Hsiao,Chien-Feng Li,Jhih-Ying Chi,Joseph T. Tseng,Yao Chang,Li Jin Hsu,Chien Hsun Lee,Tsung Hao Chang,Shao Ming Wang,Dennis Ding-Hwa Wang,Hung Chi Cheng,Ju Ming Wang +11 more
TL;DR: Treatment of TAM-like cells and primary macrophages with the immunosuppressive prostaglandin PGE2 resulted in enhanced production of the transcription factor C/EBPδ and the secretion of factors that inhibited T cell proliferation and the phagocytosis of tumor cells by macrophage in vitro, suggesting an autocrine mode of regulation.
Journal ArticleDOI
HAS3 underexpression as an indicator of poor prognosis in patients with urothelial carcinoma of the upper urinary tract and urinary bladder
I-Wei Chang,Peir-In Liang,Ching-Chia Li,Wen-Jeng Wu,Chun-Nung Huang,Victor C. Lin,Chao-Tien Hsu,Hong-Lin He,Ting-Feng Wu,Chih-Hsin Hung,Chien-Feng Li +10 more
TL;DR: HAS3 underexpression is associated with advanced tumor stage and adverse pathological features, as well as implies inferior clinical outcomes for both groups of patients with UTUCs and UBUCs, suggesting its critical role in tumor progression in UCs.
Journal ArticleDOI
A phase 1 study of ADI-PEG 20 and modified FOLFOX6 in patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma and other gastrointestinal malignancies
James J. Harding,Richard K. G. Do,Richard K. G. Do,Imane El Dika,Ellen Hollywood,Khrystyna Uhlitskykh,Emily Valentino,Peter Justin Wan,Casey R. Hamilton,Xiaoxing Feng,Amanda Johnston,John S. Bomalaski,Chien-Feng Li,Eileen M. O'Reilly,Eileen M. O'Reilly,Ghassan K. Abou-Alfa,Ghassan K. Abou-Alfa +16 more
TL;DR: Concurrent mFOLFOX6 plus ADI-PEG-20 intramuscularly at 36 mg/m2 weekly shows an acceptable safety profile and favorable efficacy compared to historic controls, and further evaluation of this combination is warranted in advanced HCC patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Prognostic Implication of Ezrin Overexpression in Myxofibrosarcomas
Hsuan-Ying Huang,Chien-Feng Li,Fu-Min Fang,Jen-Wei Tsai,Shau-Hsuan Li,Yuan-Ting Lee,Huei-Min Wei +6 more
TL;DR: In primary myxofibrosarcomas, ezrin overexpression correlates with important prognostic elements and independently portends worse outcomes, highlighting the potential prognostic usefulness of eZrin in predicting tumor aggressiveness.
