Clinicopathological significance of HuR expression in gallbladder carcinoma: with special emphasis on the implications of its nuclear and cytoplasmic expression
Ding Ping Sun,Ching Yih Lin,Yu Feng Tian,Li-Tzong Chen,Li-Ching Lin,Sung Wei Lee,Chung Hsi Hsing,Hao Hsien Lee,Yow-Ling Shiue,Hsuan-Ying Huang,Chien-Feng Li,Peir In Liang +11 more
TL;DR: Subcellular localization of HuR expression correlates with different adverse phenotypes of GBC, and HuR-C overexpression is an independent prognostic factor for dismal DSS and DFS, suggesting its roles in tumorigenesis or carcinogenesis and as a potential prognostic marker of G BC.
Journal ArticleDOI
MTOR inhibition enhances NVP-AUY922-induced autophagy-mediated KIT degradation and cytotoxicity in imatinib-resistant gastrointestinal stromal tumors
TL;DR: The results suggest the addition of a MTOR inhibitor may reduce NVP-AUY922 dose requirement and potentially improve its therapeutic index in mutant KIT-expressing GISTs.
Journal ArticleDOI
Transmembrane and Coiled-Coil Domain 1 Impairs the AKT Signaling Pathway in Urinary Bladder Urothelial Carcinoma: A Characterization of a Tumor Suppressor.
Chien-Feng Li,Wen-Ren Wu,Ti-Chun Chan,Yu Hui Wang,Lih-Ren Chen,Lih-Ren Chen,Lih-Ren Chen,Wen-Jeng Wu,Bi-Wen Yeh,Shih-Shin Liang,Shih-Shin Liang,Yow-Ling Shiue +11 more
TL;DR: Clinical associations, xenograft mice, and in vitro indications provide solid evidence that the TMCO1 gene is a novel tumor suppressor in UBUCs.
Journal ArticleDOI
Arginine starvation elicits chromatin leakage and cGAS-STING activation via epigenetic silencing of metabolic and DNA-repair genes
Sheng Chieh Hsu,Sheng Chieh Hsu,Chia Lin Chen,Mei Ling Cheng,Cheng Ying Chu,Chun A. Changou,Yen Ling Yu,Shauh Der Yeh,Shauh Der Yeh,Tse Chun Kuo,Cheng Chin Kuo,Chih Pin Chuu,Chien-Feng Li,Chien-Feng Li,Lu Hai Wang,Hongwu Chen,Yun Yen,David K. Ann,Hung Jung Wang,Hsing Jien Kung +19 more
TL;DR: In this article, a dietary arginine-restriction mouse model was developed to assess the effects of arginINE starvation on tumor growth and inflammatory responses, with evidence of enhanced interferon responses and recruitment of immune cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
IL-18-induced interaction between IMP3 and HuR contributes to COX-2 mRNA stabilization in acute myeloid leukemia
Chiung Yuan Ko,Wen Ling Wang,Chien-Feng Li,Yung-Ming Jeng,Yu Yi Chu,Han Ying Wang,Joseph T. Tseng,Ju Ming Wang,Ju Ming Wang +8 more
TL;DR: It is found that the abundances of the proinflammatory cytokine IL‐18 and its receptor (IL‐18R) correlated with the occurrence of drug resistance in AML patients during standard treatment, and it is demonstrated further that JNK and/or ERK1/2 regulated human antigen R nucleocytoplasmic shuttling, mediating IL‐ 18 stabilization of cyclooxygenase 2 mRNA.
